10,800 South Punjab schools to get solar energy, says Usman Buzdar


Lahore: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has decided to shift 10,800 Southern Punjab schools to solar energy. About 3,000 schools have already been shifted to solar energy.

He has chaired a meeting at his office on Tuesday. A lot of political personalities were present during the meeting. He has ordered the officials to complete the assigned task by December this year.

According to him, this concept of providing solar energy to different areas will help in the progress of these areas as transmission lines are very difficult in these areas.

These remote areas include Rajanpur, Cholistan, Thal and DG Khan. These areas would be provided the facility of solar energy for better progressive means. Not only these areas but remote villages will also be able to avail the opportunity of the electricity through this solar energy.

During the meeting, it was also decided to shift several universities under solar energy system as well. These universities include the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, BHUs, etc. other universities would also be provided the facility of the solar energy system gradually.

The solar energy system is an essential and important initiative of the government. He declared that we have great potential for generating solar energy in Punjab. If the project succeeded in achieving its goals, then it could prove to be a great help for the better future of our generations and the country as well.
