Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan is of the view that every prisoner in the jail should be treated equally. There should be no priorities or facilities given to a specific or political prisoner.
According to him, the production orders for those who are involved in the corruption cases should not be issued.
He has ordered the Ministry of Law and Justice to redraft the law on production orders. It is specifically for the members of the parliament.
While addressing the federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the premier has shed light on some facts about the production order rules. He wants a change in the production order rules in his ‘Naya Pakistan’.
In his eye, al the prisoners are the same. There should be no preferential treatment to a specific prisoner.
He said production orders are “like a slap on the face of common prisoners.”
He further mentioned that “Those involved in corruption related cases cannot be labelled as political prisoners, hence, their production orders should not be issued as such prisoners do not deserve any kind of concession,”
Pm Imran Khan also questioned that which heart patient eats Pa’ay and Hareesa as Nawaz Sharif does.
