Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly will share screen in Dhoop Ki Deewar: A cross-border web series

As we are already familiar with the ongoing conflict between Pakistan and India over Kashmir. There are chances for war which could result in a lot of havoc in both countries. People who are cherishing for war are unaware of its consequences and the destruction it would welcome. A lot of families would lose their loved ones who will sacrifice their lives for their beloved homeland.

Keeping in mind this, Umera Ahmed who is hailed as one of the best female writers has penned down a script for this. Her script will explain true life incidents.

The Kashmir problems and Pulwama attack affects would also be discussed at length. The enthusiasm and patriotism would be shown on the face of the soldiers from both sides of the border.

The web series is being titled as “Dhoop Ki Deewar”. It is produced and directed by Haseeb Hassan. Haseeb Hassan is our industry’s renowned director. Having efficient director skills he has some popular drama serials under his name. These dramas include Nanhi and Mann Mayal. Parwaaz Hai Junoon is also directed by him.

It is pertinent to note that he has also directed telefilm “Laal” which features Bilal Abbas Khan. He is also working on “Alif” which will air next month.

Coming back to the main subject, Dhoop Ki Deewar features the story of two teenagers who have witnessed how their lives were changed even within the night.

During an interview, the playwright of the project mentioned that,

“Dhoop Ki Deewar is not a love story: it is a love-hate story based on the love-hate relationship between people of India and Pakistan. That’s the only way WE can write and read a love story between these two people. That’s what almost 70 years of unending hatred does to people and their sensibilities. And the most difficult thing for a writer in the subcontinent is to write an Indo-Pak love story.”

It is pertinent to note that Dhoop Ki Deewar will feature award winning Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly in lead roles. Raza would be essaying the role of a Pakistani captain. Moreover, Samiya Mumtaz, Samina Ahmed, Savera Nadeem, and Manzar Sehbai would also be seen in pivotal roles.

Explaining the subject of the project, Haseeb asserted that Dhoop Ki Deewar would deal with the complex issues which Pakistan and India are facing right now. So, the project will also be for the people living on the other side of the border.

“Initially we thought to have Indian actors on board too but considering the present scenario in India, we dropped the idea,” he added.
