After donning a remarkable performance in “Belapur Ki Dayan”, Amar Khan is all geared up for her upcoming project “Choti Choti Batain”.
“Choti Choti Batain” is destined to hit TV screens from this Sunday. It will be aired on HUM TV featuring Amar Khan and the very talented Muneeb Butt in lead roles.
It is pertinent to note that “Choti Choti Batain” is a mini-series directed by Angeline Malik while penned down by Pareesa Siddiqui. It is a four-episode long series. The first episode is titled as “Roop” in which Amar Khan will be essaying the character of Zeena while Muneeb Butt will be seen as Rayan (Her love interest).
Apart from Muneeb and Amar, the first episode will also be featuring Mehmood Aslam, Rubina Ashraf, Lubna Aslam, Ghana Ali and Sara Raza in pivotal roles.
“Roop” from “Choti Choti Batain” will be highlighting some serious issues concerning the life of a girl who has been judged on her physical appearance. Zeena received constant hate and comments about her appearance that she suffers from Inferiority complex.
However, the entry of Rayan in her life gives a new twist to the episode. Within a very short period of time, they started loving each other.
During an interview, Amar Khan has given an insight into the concept of the play. She mentioned that “Roop highlights how people, especially girls, are judged based on their appearances. This is a relevant topic as constant judging and body shaming leave girls disappointed and shatter their personalities.”
While talking about her character in “Roop” she declared that,
“She firmly believes that it is one’s competence and inner beauty that matters. Zeena is constantly slammed for the way she dresses up. However, she meets Rayan, who falls for her honesty and her abilities; how good she is at her work and is not bothered about the way she looks.”
The actress further stated that “Through Roop, we have tried to break one of the stereotypes prevalent in our society. In the upcoming episodes you will see how Zeena tries to break away from the stereotypical notions despite all the negativity that surrounds her and emerges out victorious by believing in herself and not her looks.”
Moreover, the director, Angeline Malik has also shared details about his upcoming project. Explaining the character of Amar as Zeena, he asserted that,
“In Roop, Amar plays a young woman who puts herself down because of her looks and we show that it stems from her mother, who compares Zeena to her prettier sister and ends up being insulting to Zeena. We want to show how parents shouldn’t do this because it has such a bad impact on a child.”
