Naqeebullah Mehsud, a young man of 27, was brutally killed in an absolutely fake police encounter last year. The whole incident took place in Karachi. The police team was carried by Rao Anwar, the Senior Superintendent of the police.
Aftab Ahmad Sherpao Concerned about the missing eye-witness
Aftab Ahmad Sherpao, the chairman of Qaumi Watan Party has shown his great concern about the disappearance of the eyewitness of Naqeebullah murder case. He has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take serious notice of the affair. He has said that Rao Anwar’s bail should be canceled so that he may not pressurize the other eyewitnesses to revoke their statements against him. He said, “It seems that some forces are at work to weaken this case to deny justice to the bereaved family.” The justice must be served to the family of late Naqeebullah Mehsud.
Justice should be served to the family
According to him, if Rao Anwar has not been punished for the crime he has committed then it will be very disappointing and disheartening as well because they will no longer believe in the justice system of Pakistan. Critiquing the high-handedness of the police, Sherpao has said that the executioners should be punished strictly for committing such an excruciating act. It has become crucial to investigate the whole process and punish the culprit. A police team should be appointed to find the missing eyewitness.
