It is pertinent to note that the Pakistan Army has expressed pain and anguish on the final verdict served by the special court. The special court has handed death penalty to the former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf regarding his high treason case.
The military’s public relations wing stated that “An ex-army chief, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and President of Pakistan, who has served the country for over 40 years, fought wars for the defence of the country can surely never be a traitor.”
