Army troops are assisting civil administration for the rescue of flood affected natives

Rawalpindi: The mountainous Neelum Valley of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) was flooded after heavy rain hits the ground late on Sunday night.

As soon as the incident took place, rescue teams rushed at the site to help the natives who were facing lots of difficulties. The deceased persons were shifted to the hospitals for post mortem. While injured ones have been giving medical aid.

Army troops are also assisting the civil administration in order to rescue and save people. Several measures have been taken to give relief to the flood affected the population.

According to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday, several relief camps have been established to provide shelter to the affected ones. Moreover, it is also informed that search operations for the missing ones have been under the way to get clues.

Relief effort provides basic items including the provision of food, rations and medical aid.
