Gulshan-e-Iqbal, commonly known as the “Garden of Iqbal”, is one of the most captivating and largest parks in the city. The beauty of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park can be better enjoyed with friends and family. Having an artificial lake along with a mini zoo, this park is certainly the best choice for a family outing. However, you may find it a little bit crowded spot.

Hazuri Bagh

Located between the Lahore Fort and Badshahi Masjid, Hazuri Bagh is probably Lahore’s famous spot built by Ranjit Singh back in 1813. A Marble Baradari at the very center of it captivates the attention of many tourists.  It is believed that the marble baradari was once a three-story building whose upper two stories get destructed during the war days. May be the marble baradari is the only old thing that exists in the Hazuri Bagh.

Iqbal Park

The Greater Iqbal Park is a project done by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). This place surely deserves to be on the list of the Lahore’s famous recreational areas.

Jilani Park

Jilani Park or previously known as the “Race Course Park” is famous for its artificial waterfall and several exhibitions within the park. It is located opposite the Services Hospital at Jail Road. It is worth noticing that this park holds annual horse race competitions.

Model Town Park

As the very name of the park suggested, it is located in the middle of the model town. The park was formerly known as Nawaz Sharif Park because of his residence in the area. It is also used as the golf course. It has a jogging track of almost 2.75 kilometers that is considered one of the largest jogging tracks across Asia. It is purely made out of clay.

Shahdara Bagh

Shahdara Bagh is one of the most fascinating historical gardens in Lahore. Shah stands for ‘kings’ and Dara stands for ‘way’, this is the reason why this land is called the “way of kings”. Back in the 15th century, Shahdara Bagh was the entrance gate of Lahore.

Shalimar Gardens

Shalimar Garden was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan back in 1641 CE. It is a Persian style garden located in Baghbanpura, Lahore. Offering a relaxing environment to its visitors, Shalimar Gardens should be on your must-to-visit Points’ list.

Jallo Park

Jallo Park is famous for its swimming pools, lakes, and botanical gardens. Its lakes are reserved for boating and fishing. It covers an area of 461 acres. Jallo Park is offering such an exciting picnic experience along with mesmerizing scenes and several food stalls.

This place is also considered the Forest Research Center as well as the wildlife Breeding Centre.

Safari Park

Safari Park is famous for its display of wildlife. Located almost 13 kilometers away from motorway link Thokar Niaz Baig, Safari Park, Safari Park will offer you a list of wild animals in a very uncommon way. For all those people who want to enjoy and take pleasure in watching wildlife, this place is certainly a treat. One of the most adventurous tasks you can perform in this park is that you can cook there too. Mmmm! Sounds really exciting, isn’t it?
