Confirmed cases rise to 2,360, death toll surpasses 31


The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has surged to 2,360 here on Thursday. The new cases were reported taking the country’s tally to 2360.

The number of deaths surpassed 31 across the country. According to the national dashboard, several deaths were being reported in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Thirty-four new cases of the virus were reported in Sindh on Thursday, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 23 new cases and a death as well.

Gilgit Baltistan has reported 3 new cases, Balochistan has five while Islamabad has reported four new cases in the province.

Punjab remains the worst hit with 69 more new cases were reported in the province. The total number of confirmed cases rise to 914.

The total number of coronavirus cases from different sections of the country are as follows,

  • Sindh 743
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 276
  • Balochistan 169
  • Islamabad 62
  • Gilgit Baltistan 187
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir 9

On Thursday, PM Imran Khan has declared here on Thursday that Pakistan is going through tough times. Amid this coronavirus crisis, the nation needs to understand that being united is the only solution to this problem.

He advised his nation to unite in order to fight against the coronavirus pandemic. He also gave the example of China where people behave sensibly and now the virus is almost gone.

He was Presiding over a meeting to review the situation pertaining to and preventive efforts against COVID-19. During the meeting, PM Imran Khan has mentioned,

“We will become a nation and tackle this challenge.”
