Islamabad: According to the sources, Pakistan has reported 23 more casualties due to coronavirus on Monday night.
The total number of deaths occurring due to coronavirus has surged to 192 while the confirmed coronavirus cases tally rises up to 9,200 across the country.
Following are the number of confirmed cases from different sections of the country,
- Punjab has 4195 cases
- Sindh has 2,764 cases
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 1,276cases
- Balochistan has 465 cases
- Islamabad has 181 cases
The confirmed cases hiked to 9,193 as Punjab reported 4,195 cases, Sindh 2,764, Balochistan 465, KP 1,276, AJK 49 and Islamabad 181 while 1,975 patients recovered from the deadly disease.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza stated that total 1,975 patients are reported to be recovered from this disease and are being discharged by the hospital.
He further claimed that in Pakistan, most of the coronavirus cases are coming because of the public transmission.
During a televised briefing on COVID-19, Dr. Zafar asserted that the government is taking keen steps to contain the spread of the virus and people need to cooperate with the government.
It is because of our efforts that in Pakistan, the fatality rate is still slow as compared with the other countries, even the developed ones.
He urged the nation to strictly follow the precautionary measures and practice social distancing as much as possible. By only following this, we can contain the spread of coronavirus.
