Corona continues affecting lives as total cases surged to 1600 across country

Islamabad: According to the media sources, the novel coronavirus continues affecting the lives of the people across the country. The total number of confirmed cases has risen to 1600 in Pakistan.

COVID-19 is taking more lives than any other disease in the world. Even the strongest countries like the US and Italy are badly under its spell. In Pakistan, coronavirus has taken almost 15 lives.

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza has announced the devastating effects of coronavirus on human body during media briefing.

He explained the number of patients who are showing good signs of recovery across the country, in his words, almost 745 COVID-19 patients were stable.

He said, “They were in mild to moderate condition and soon they will be discharged from the hospitals.”

He further briefed about how many patients have been suffering from this disease across the country. He declared that Punjab has reported 593 coronavirus cases, while Sindh remains on the second with total of 502 cases. 192 patients have emerged from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while 141 from Balochistan. Gilgit Baltistan has reported 123 cases, AJK has 6 while ICT has reported 43 new cases.

Moreover, Dr. Zafar revealed that 28 patients had recovered completely.

Meanwhile, the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed the Sindh authorities to drive plan in case if quarantine prolonged by the government.

He also appreciated the medial staff for their efforts in saving the lives of people suffering from COVID 19 while risking their own lives. He said,

“Our doctors at Corona Emergency Centers and Hospitals are risking their lives to keep our lives safe. They deserve all the credit in the world.”
