Islamabad: According to the recent sources, around 100 doctors and paramedics have been tested positive for the coronavirus.
Coronavirus has infected 100 doctors & paramedics across the country
Sources revealed that almost 100 doctors and paramedics staff has been reported positive for COVID 19 from different sections of the country. These doctors and paramedics have been treating the coronavirus patients in the country and have themselves fallen a victim to the disease.
Below is the number of doctors and paramedics who have been reported positive for COVID 19 from different cities of the Pakistan.
- 25 in Karachi
- 18 in Multan
- 16 in Dera Ghazi Khan
- 5 each in Lahore, Rawalpindi & Gujrat
- 15 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
- 21 in Balochistan
Vice-Chancellor Nishtar Medical University, Multan, Dr. Mustafa Kamal Pasha said that “The staff had been treating a patient who had a lung disease. After the patient died his test came back positive for the virus. We conducted tests of everyone in the ward after the patient passed away.”
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza has revealed that 14 people have lost the battle of their life against coronavirus across the country in the last 24 hours.
He said on Sunday, “Of the 50 people who were on the ventilator until yesterday, 14 have lost their battle.”
