Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Wednesday has said that Mohmand dam’s formal inauguration of constructing work will be held soon as the construction of dams is on of our top priorities.
He further said that the preparatory work on the dam project was already under progress. While talking to a private TV channel the Minister has declared that all the technical issues were sorted out. His statement goes on announcing that the construction of dams is one of the top most priorities of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government leading by PM Imran Khan.
He further added that the government has undergone a lot of hurdles and difficulties planted by the enemies but it still remained firm for the construction of the dams. Keeping in view, the country’s water needs, the government kept on building reservoirs.
Installation of telemeters is necessary. Moreover, the government is taking concrete measures in order to control water theft. The previous government has not paid any attention to the increasing water crisis in Pakistan rather they have made the water issues quite complex to handle.
The minister further stated that the government is rightly following the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would fulfill all its promises. According to him, the opposition was doing politics over the construction of Mohmand Dam, however, the government was taking every criticism in positive manners.
