Karachi: Rashid Minhas, the brave Pilot Officer of the nation was remembered on his 46th death anniversary. He was one of the youngest recipients of the ‘Nishan-e-Haider’.
A press release mentioned that Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force and all personnel of PAF, Air Vice Marshal Ahsan Rafiq Chaudhry, Air Officer Commanding Southern Air Command have visited the house of our national hero Rashid Minhas (Shaheed).
It is pertinent to note that he embraced Shahadat on August 20, 1971, when he was on duty.
The Air Vice Marshal Ahsan Rafiq Chaudhry along with other officers prayed for the departed soul. They prayed for his eternal peace and met the mother and younger brother of Shaheed Rashid Minhas.
They have also conveyed the message of the Air Chief. It mentioned that Rashid Minhas (Shaheed) would always be remembered and his sacrifices would always be encouraged. He has served his country with the best of his efforts and the nation is indebted to his services.
He further stated that his services and sacrifices would prove to be a ray of light for the next generations. The country is proud of its valiant son.
