Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani

Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani is famous all over Pakistan. It is not difficult to make a perfect Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani at home. It is commonly known for offering pure Hyderabadi flavors which will make your Eid even spicier. You simply need these ingredients,


  • 1 kg Mutton (boneless)
  • 700g Rice (basmati)
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 & 1/2 tbsp Red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup Tomato (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Oil (for marination)
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice (for marination)
  • 1 tsp Yellow food color
  • 1 tbsp Whole spices
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 2 Green cardamom
  • 2 Black cardamom
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Papaya paste
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp Chili flakes

Directions to cook

  1. First of all, take a bowl and add mutton, yogurt, ginger garlic paste, black pepper, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, fried onion paste, green coriander, mint, papaya, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, green chilies, tomato paste and oil in it.
  2. Mix all the ingredients very well and marinate them for 3 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Secondly, take a bowl and soak rice for 20 minutes.
  4. After this, take a pan and add water, salt, oil, whole spices, green cardamom, black cardamom, bay leaf, cloves, cumin, lemon juice in it and boil.
  5. After this, add rice in it and cook until 80% done, then strain them and keep aside.
  6. In a separate pan add marinated mutton, water, cover it and cook on low flame for 20 minutes or until meat is tender.
  7. Add tomatoes, ginger, green chilies, lemon, fried onion, coriander, mint and mix them well.
  8. In a pan layer mutton, rice, garnish and repeat it again and again.
  9. Now add food color mixed with milk, garnish, half cup water on top and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  10. At the end heat a lump of coal and smoke your dish for 1-2 minutes.
  11. Your tempting and spicy Hyderabadi biryani is ready to serve.

Eid-ul-Azha Recipes Beef Qorma

Qorma is being loved by all the Pakistanis. When its Eid-ul-Azha how can you forget to make tasty qorma. There are no hard and fast rules to make a scrumptious qorma at home.

Here’s a simple and easy recipe to make beef Qorma at home.


  • 1 & ½ cup Fried onion
  • ½ cup Yogurt
  • 3 Green cardamom
  • ½ cup water
  • 1kg Beef
  • ¾ cup Oil
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Whole spice
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • Water as required
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp Ginger to garnish
  • 1 tbsp Coriander to garnish

 Directions to Cook

  • In a blender add yogurt, green cardamom, fried onion, and water and mix it well.
  • Now heat the oil in a pan, add ginger garlic paste, sauté it, then add whole spice & beef and mix them well. Cook for 2-3 minutes, add water, cover it with lid and let it cook until beef tenders 90%. (Add water if required).
  • Add yogurt, salt, red chili powder & coriander powder, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add onion paste mix it well, cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Cover the lid with & cook for 5 minutes on medium low flame.
  • Sprinkle ginger and coriander and serve with Naan.
