First Chinese 5G Network Bridge Opens


BEIJING – A bridge which connects Guangzhou & Dongguan, is according to the Chinese regulator of State assets, China’s first bridge, which has a 5G network.

The Nansha Bridge, also called Humen Second Bridge, is designed to carry a 100 kph traffic speed and expectations are that traffic pressure will be alleviated in the area.

The bridge has a width of 40.5 meters, the widest steel box crossbeam suspension bridge in the world!

It is the most recent major transport venture which since 2 April 2019 provided 4g & 5g services. As stated by the State Council (State-Owned Assets Supervision & Administration Commission)!

Smooth network connectivity is ensured by the launching of telecommunication base stations on the bridge’s lampposts & towers.

The Nansha Bridge is expected to manage 120,000 vehicles on a daily basis.
