Islamabad: General Qamar Javed Bajwa who is quite efficient and performed really well to uplift the standard of Pakistan before the universe, has been allotted an extension of three more years.
He will continue as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) for another three years. The news is being confirmed by a notification which was issued by the Prime Minister’s Office here on Monday.
As we already know that New Delhi has released water into the river Sutlej. The tensions between India and Pakistan are getting worse day after day. Moreover, the curfew in Indian held Kashmir is following its 15th day. Under all, this was necessary to allot three years extension to the valiant General Qamar Javed Bajwa as he is an experienced officer and can handle the issue more effectively than anyone else.
The notification which was issued by the Prime Minister’s Office with PM Imran Khan’s signs over there stated that,
“General Qamar Javed Bajwa is appointed Chief of Army Staff for another term of three years from the date of completion of current tenure. The decision has been taken in view of the regional security environment.”
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the decision was taken under serious consideration by PM Imran Khan.
He declared that “At this stage, we are not completely aware of the entire situation in the Indian Held Kashmir, as there is a curfew in the region. When the curfew is lifted, then we will know what exactly happened there.”
“A very clear message is being conveyed that Pakistan’s political and military leadership is not only ready but also on one page. This was very important,” he further added.
