earlier, the government has announced to help the needy and poor community of the country after giving them Relief funds under Ehsaas Programme amid coronavirus lockdown.
On Thursday, the authorities have actually started distributing relief funds among the needy ones from different sections of the country.
Dr. Sania Nishtar, who is the incharge of the Ehsaas programme stated that around 1.2 million families will get Rs12,000.
Meanwhile she also explained that this time, they will be distributing funds on the biometric verification.
“Funds distribution will be done on the basis of biometric verification,” she said.
Moreover, while explaining the procedure, she said that an SMS can be sent to 8171 containing the 13-digit National Identity Card number.
In a tweet Dr. Nishtar wrote, “Even in remotest & most conservative parts of country, women are actively participating to collect Rs. 12,000, which are being given to them as part of Govt. of Pakistan’s #EhsaasEmergencyCash program, is a response to #COVID19 induced economic fallout for most disadvantaged.”

She also lauded the remarkable step taken by the Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa government. She said in another tweet,
