Hajra Yamin has multiple character shifts in ‘Naqab Zan’

Hajra Yamin is one of the emerging actresses in Pakistan. After the success of her recently ended drama serial ‘Baandi’, she is all set to opt another role, the role of an elder sister in her next play ‘Naqab Zan’.

Her character in the play is named Farhat, who has a lot of responsibilities as she is the eldest one among her siblings. The upcoming play basically revolves around some platonic relationships.

While addressing an interview, the young starlet expressed her character in these words,

“The general expectation about eldest siblings is that they are always expected to be the responsible one, they are not normally given any room for a mistake and are supposed to set an example for their younger siblings.”

“But at the end of the day, they’re only human and there is only so much that one can take so, certain incidents in her life make her realize how in order to fulfil her expectations as the eldest sibling she has neglected her own self as well as her marriage, so this realization eventually transitions her life and personality,” she added.

In this play, she will be seen featuring alongside Ali Abbas who has proved to be her third time co-star.

She was being questioned about how she decided to opt for this character. In response to this question, the actress has these words to say,

“The transitions in the character appealed to me; the director’s approach towards developing the story and the character was a factor as well. Adeel is an intelligent and passionate director, and working with him is such a treat. He focuses on details that we normally miss as actors, and keeps you well-knitted with the story.”

‘Naqab Zan’ is being directed by Adeel Siddiqui and penned by Aamal Reza.

Multiple celebrity stars including Ali Ansari, Saboor Aly, Wasim Abbas, Shaheen Khan, Amna Malik, Saher Ali, Ayesha Khan, Tabassum Arif, and Khalid Zafer will also be seen in pivotal roles along with Hajra Yamin and Ali Abbas.
