Origins of the Web:
The concept of the Web was born in the late 20th century. It was created by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, a British computer scientist, in 1989 while working at CERN, the European Particle Physics Laboratory. His goal was to develop a system for scientists to share and collaborate on research documents. The result was the first web server, browser, and the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), which are the foundational elements of the Web as we know it today.
