The leading beauty of our film industry, Mehwish Hayat, has very boldly said that she is not afraid of Bollywood filmmakers to not cast her in their films just because she speaks the truth about her country.

She has recently done her BBC Urdu interview where she has explained that she will continue to support her country and would never let it down. She said that she will always speak the truth.

She further revealed how she has felt that Pakistanis are negatively portrayed in Bollywood and Hollywood films.

“I’d rather speak the truth and not get cast in their films. This is not something that I’ve said right now. I’ve been saying this all along. Maybe because of the current crisis, this has amplified so much. This has been my stance since day one.”

She has urged other people to visit her country.

“Come and see for yourselves what a peaceful country and what a peace-loving nation we are. We are famous for our hospitality around the world.”

Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto

She further revealed that her next project will revolve around the life of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. She also lauded her personality and the way she has managed the country.

“I love Benazir Bhutto. She was the first woman prime minister of Pakistan. That’s such a great thing. People need to see and know more about Benazir. Our generation needs to know more about Benazir,” she asserted.

She also revealed how she felt when people criticized her for receiving the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.

“The size of your mentality and your mind matters. Your mind should be big enough to fit both my Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and Billi song.”
