Inzamam, in a Youtube video, said that Karachi Kings got complacent while defending a big total.

“If I look at the attitude of Karachi Kings, I found it a little non-serious,” said Inzamam. “When their bowlers were being hit for sixes, even then their players were laughing. It looked like that they were too over confident as if they cannot lose the match, which eventually hurt them badly.”

The former cricketer was in awe of left-hander Ben Dunk’s hitting and also credited the Qalandars’ captain Sohail Akhtar for his supporting role in the chase.

“Ben Dunk played an outstanding innings. It looked like he was playing playstation as he was smashing sixes at will,” he said. “Sohail Akhtar also provided good support at the other end which also helped them in chasing the target.”

“Lahore Qalandars’ morale will be high after the comeback they have made in this season, considering they lost the first three games,” he added.

The 50-year-old also believes that Pakistan’s Twenty20 International (T20I) captain Babar Azam should be leading Karachi Kings instead of all-rounder Imad Wasim.

“Babar Azam was a better choice for captaincy of Karachi than Imad Wasim,” he said. “The T20 World Cup is only a few months away and Babar is still in learning process, so leading a PSL side in 10 matches would have given him more confidence.”

“There are only few T20Is left for Pakistan before the T20 World Cup, so handling and dealing with pressure situations in PSL as a captain would have benefited him and Pakistan,” he added.
