Journalist Imran Riaz Khan from Pakistan Receives Nomination for Human Rights Award.

Imran Riaz Khan, a Pakistani TV host and YouTuber who disappeared for more than four months and came back in September, has been nominated for a Human Rights Award in 2023 by the Human Rights Council of Pakistan.

Known for his bold interviews and criticism of the PDM alliance, Imran lost 22 kilograms while he was away and is now recovering.

His nomination shows the tough times journalists face in Pakistan, where freedom of the press is often limited, especially during political and economic troubles.

Imran Riaz Khan was arrested during a countrywide effort to crack down on supporters of the former Prime Minister, Imran Khan.
