Karachi: According to the sources, the leakage of the poisonous gas in Karachi has resulted in the death of eight people while many suffered from severe injuries.
The death toll has risen to eight people in the Keamari area of Karachi. Apart from this, dozens are reported to be severely suffering from pain and they are being admitted to the hospital.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken a serious notice of the entire incident and sought a detailed report from the management.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Zaidi has also shown concerns for the lost lives. He said in a tweet that,
“For the record, approx. 100 patients have been treated and released since last night. Two are still in ICU. We continue to monitor the situation.”
For clarification, NBCD is a composite team/department of Pakistan Navy.
They were engaged for chemical analysis of the unidentified gas.

Earlier, in a tweet, he stated, “I have just requested Pakistan Navy to dispatch their Nuclear Biological Chemical Damage (NBCD) team to investigate the source of the incident of poisonous gas in Keamari area and take remedial measures.”
