Mahathir Mohammad was splendidly welcomed in Pakistan


Islamabad: Malaysian Premier Dr. Mahathir Mohammad was being accorded with red Carpet welcome as he arrived in Pakistan. The Malaysian Pm arrived on a three-day official visit to Pakistan on Thursday evening.

Pakistan Pm Imran Khan and his team warmly welcomed the guest of honor for Pak Day Parade at the Nur Khan Airbase. Two children clad in traditional dresses presented him with a bouquet. Moreover, 21-gun salute hailed the arrival of the premier in Pakistan. Apart from Imran Khan, he was received at the airbase by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Minister for Planning, Development, and Reform Khusro Bakhtiar.


People across the Pakistan started welcoming the honorable guest for Pak Day Parade. PTI Official page hailed the arrival of Malaysian Pm.

A contingent of Presidential Guards presented a static salute to the dignitary who is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood said that memoranda of understanding (MoUs) covering $800-$900 million (approx Rs120 billion) worth of investments with Malaysian investors would be signed today (Friday). The memoranda will cover deals in information technology (IT), telecom, power generation, textile, agriculture, and halal food industries.

Abdul Razak Dawood stated, “We believe Malaysia will be an opening for us to the Asean (Association of South East Asian Nations) countries.”
The Foreign Office spokesman Dr. Muhammad Faisal also shared his stance over the visit of Malaysian premier stating that this meeting will further strengthen the Pak-Malaysia relationship and more friendly relations will be observed through the visit.

He said, for the mutual benefit of the peoples of the two countries, the visit will be on enhancing economic, trade, investment, and defense ties between the two countries.
