Islamabad: The COAS was to retire on November 28 on account of the completion of his tenure. However, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has granted him the extension of six more months here on Thursday.
Pakistan’s Premier Imran Khan has lauded the SC verdict and appreciated Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.
He also referred to all the external enemies of Pakistan and the inside mafias who wanted to destabilize the country. He mentioned that it must be a great disappointed for them all.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has tweeted,
“Today must be a great disappointment to those who expected the country to be destabilized by a clash of institutions. That this did not happen must be of special disappointment to our external enemies & mafias within”.
He went on saying that “Mafias who have stashed their loot abroad and seek to protect this loot by destabilizing the country.”
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Representative Maryam Aurangzeb has responded to the PM’s taunts against the party.
She stated, “Your ineptness was highlighted by the supreme court time and again. You are trying to put the burden of your lack of qualifications on others.”
She declared that PM’s allegations against those whom he has considered corrupt are all baseless. Not a single ounce of corruption has been proved against them.
“With the presence of such a historically unqualified and inept man, the government doesn’t need any enemies.”
She has questioned his leadership qualities saying that he has nothing to do except to criticize the opponents. She stated that the economy of the country is getting worse.
