Mehwish Hayat appointed as a goodwill ambassador for girls’ rights


Karachi: Mehwish Hayat the leading TV and film actress of our entertainment industry is always vocal for human rights particularly women’s rights.

Goodwill ambassador

The actress has added another feather in her cap after she is appointed as the goodwill ambassador for the girls’ rights. She was appointed by the Ministry of Human Rights.

The actress herself announced the news through a video message shared by her. Her post followed the caption,

“Delighted to be appointed by the Ministry of Human Rights as Goodwill Ambassador 4 the rights of the girl child.”

“This is something close to me & I look forward to actively raising awareness of the issues to be addressed. Let’s give girls the better future they deserve,” she added.

She went on saying that “It is an honour for me to play a crucial role in helping girls get their rights. I wish to see a Pakistan where girls are given the opportunities to get an education.”

She also requested her fans to support and help her in her mission to stand for the young girls of our country.

“Let’s give girls the better future they deserve.”

It is pertinent to note that she received Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in March for her outstanding performance and contributions to the Pakistani cinema.

Moreover, she was also selected among the list of the top 5 influential Muslim women in the world.
