Mehwish is that one stunning actress of Pakistani industry who doesn’t need words to introduce herself, her works are enough to define her.

The actress has got her recent interview with BBC Asian Network where she opened up about her journey and the difficulties she faced.

It is pertinent to note that Mehwish Hayat has received Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in March for her excellent contribution to the Pakistani cinema.

She discussed during the interview, how she has been trolled after receiving Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and why she doesn’t want to work in Bollywood along with Indian celebrities.

Mehwish Hayat Feelings for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz

She shared her feelings of honoring with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. She wants to be in the same line of heroes and legends for the rest of her life.

However, there are some people who always figure out some negativity in the positive stuff. She continued stating that,

“Being a public figure I am used to trolling and criticism and it’s okay, everyone has their own opinions. However, questioning my character and credibility was crossing the line. My contribution to Pakistani cinema and art were overlooked…I had to stand up and fight… No one can question my credibility and character, they don’t even know me.”

The actress further added, “Being a part of this industry does not mean we have forsaken our morals. We as artists are very emotional and sensitive people and we haven’t forsaken our morals.”

As for as her love for movies is concerned, the Load Wedding starlet declared that she has no regrets on her choices. She is firm in her decisions.

She also expressed her concern for not working in Bollywood with Indian actors. She stated that it is more comfortable for her to work for her own country rather than to opt for Indian movies.

“I want to stay here in my country and work for my Pakistani cinema.”
