MQM Leader Altaf Hussain arrested in London


After Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Hamza Shahbaz, Altaf Hussain is the next on the boat.

London news officials revealed that the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader, Altaf Hussain arrested in London by Scotland Yard here on Tuesday.

The initial reports revealed that he was taken into the custody after spreading hate speeches at a number of times.

While he is in custody, the Metropolitan Police officials in London are further investigating him.

He was taken into the custody from his residence in London.

Without naming Altaf Hussain, the officials issue a statement stating that

“The man, who is aged in his 60s, was arrested at an address in north west London. He was arrested on suspicion of intentionally encouraging or assisting offences contrary to Section 44 of the Serious Crime Act 2007.”

It further mentioned that “As part of the investigation, officers are carrying out a search at the North West London address. Detectives are also searching a separate commercial address in North West London.

Throughout the investigation, officers have been liaising with Pakistani authorities in relation to our ongoing enquiries.”
