Pakistan’s famous religious scholar Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman has yesterday announced that lockdown would no longer be implemented on the mosques.
The federal governement on Tuesday announced the two weeks extension in the lockdown. However, Pakistan’s relogious clerics has some other plans.
We already know that Ramzan is just round the corner, and people particularly men have been wondering about their prayers and Namaz e Taraweeh.
The Ruet e Hilal Committee’s Chairman Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman announed on Tuesday evening that Friday prayers will be offered in the mosques.
Meanwhile, during Ramzan, the Namaz e Taraweeh and Aetkaf would also be held in the mosques, he claimed. He cleared that government should know that closing mosques is not the solution to the coronavirus problem. We must seek forgiveness from the Almighty.
Mufti Muneeb added, “The prayer leader’s job is to led prayers, not to stop them.”
The meeting of the rligious scholars held at Karachi’s Press Club on Tuesday. Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman was accompanied by Mufti Taqi Usmani and many other leaders.
Mufti Taqi Usmani assured the nation and the government that prayers will be held in the mosques while all the precautionary measures would be strictly followed.
He said, “There will be proper space in the rows of people who pray.”
It is pertinent to note that the confirmed coronavirus cases in pakistan have reached 6,000 after mor and more cases are being reported from different parts of the country.
