Mufti Taqi Usmani criticizes KP govt. for withdrawing notification on Abaya

Karachi: Earlier, the district office of Peshawar has issued a notification on the dress code of schoolgirls. The notification was issued to all the heads of the government schools with the instruction of wearing the abaya, Hijab, Chadar for the female students “in order to protect them from any unethical incident.”

However, people on social media don’t like the idea and criticized it. Under these circumstances, the KPK government has issued a notification withdrawing the notification.

Meanwhile, the Renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani has criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for withdrawing the notification.

He took to his twitter handle and explained that the notification was according to the teachings of Holy Quran and worthy of praise.

“But unfortunately the KPK government has canceled the notification despite the fact that the First Lady also dons Naqab.”

He went on saying that “Whether the prime minister, who claims to make Pakistan a Madina-like state, would take notice of the matter.”
