Quetta: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday demanded new elections must be held across the country.
He has also warned the PTI government that it should have to face the music if his demands would not be considered.
While addressing a press conference, he takes a jib at the government saying that the government has failed to fulfill its pre-elections promises. The people of Pakistan are facing a lot of economic problems.
He stated that unemployment is rising in the major sections of the country.
“Our economy is in its worst condition. Unemployment is on the rise and people have lost the power to spend.”
He has suggested that only new elections in the country will stable the current condition.
“New elections must be held across the country. Our protests in certain areas of the country are going on.”
Fazl went on criticizing Prime Minister Imran Khan calling his government a ‘mafia’.
“He [Prime Minister Imran] refers to others as a mafia whereas he and others are a mafia themselves.”
He further stated that Pakistan is in dire need of a proper and well established political system that will consider the poor masses. And the PTI government has been unsuccessful in doing so.
“The Azadi March was a historic event. Its effects are still being felt in Pakistani politics.”
The JUI-F concluded that being the spokesperson of the poor in the country, his party is concerned about the rights of the poor in our society.
