Yesterday, the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights was organized to observe the final screening of the film. The committee has clearly declared that if it will find any inappropriate content in it, then the film’s release will be stopped.
However, after the screening was completed, the committee had not found any inappropriate content in it. But the final decision is still pending. It is decided that the fate of the film will be further discussed in the next meeting of the senate committee.
“No ministry in its individual capacity can forward any matter to the Council of Islamic Ideology as per the law.”
HR comte took notice of banning of movie zindagi tamasha. Surprised to find that it was cleared twice but still banned! We directed that screening for CII should b held in abeyance till Commitee views&decides whether there’s something objectionable in it or not. pic.twitter.com/WEklGLswjK
