The six-member delegation, will visit the Chakothi sector and examine the current situation at LoC. The delegation will seek guidance from the OIC Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir Yousef alDobeay.

It is worth noticing that Prime Minister Imran Khan had earlier praised the positive steps taken by the OIC to question human rights violations in Jammu & Kashmir.

OIC has offered support to the people of Indian occupied Kashmir.

Addressing a press conference alongside Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday Yousef alDobeay said,

“OIC fully supports the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. We reaffirm that all of our member states are supporting this issue so that they [Kashmiris] can get the right of self-determination.”

He appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace in the region. “Pakistan has shown the world that it is a peaceful state by using diplomatic tactics in the [recent] situations.”
