OIC showed ‘concerns’ about human rights violations in occupied Kashmir

In the wake of the recent human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) showed concerns about human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

The special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir, Yousef alDobeay stated on Tuesday that OIC is concerned about the grave situation of Muslims in the Jammu & Kashmir.

It is worth noticing that an OIC delegation came to Pakistan a day earlier. During a press conference alongside Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, alDobeay said,

“The OIC fully supports the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. We reaffirm that all of our member states are supporting this issue so that they [Kashmiris] can get the right of self-determination.”

“Pakistan has shown the world that it is a peaceful state by using diplomatic tactics in the [recent] situations,” he added.

He went on saying that “Tomorrow we will visit Jammu and Kashmir so that we can see the on-ground situation and then we will visit the Line of Control (LoC). After the visit, we will present a detailed report in the OIC [meeting].”

He also appreciated Pakistan’s stance on promoting peace in the region. He declared that he has seen all the efforts that Pakistan has made to maintain the discipline and peace in the region.
