Islamabad: The international sources revealed that US President Donald Trump will visit India next week. Ahead of his visit, Pakistan has reminded Washington to not forget about the sufferings of poor Kashmiris.
Pakistan has reminded the Washington authorities to raise voice against Indian atrocities in the occupied region.
Earlier in July 2019, Donald Trump has offered mediation over the Kashmir issue. For now, Pakistan also advised the authorities to take immediate steps to mediate between Pakistan and India.
The spokesperson at the Foreign Office commented, “We hope that during the US president’s visit to India the issues being faced by the people of IOK will be raised with the Indian government and the offer of mediation expressed by the US president is taken forward through some concrete practical step.”
Moreover, she also hinted at the letter which was written by four US senators to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. In the letter, the senators have expressed their concerns and raised voice against human rights violations in IOK.
She mentioned, “The letter aims to draw attention towards atrocities being committed in the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. There are growing voices calling upon India to provide fundamental freedoms to the people of Jammu & Kashmir and to lift the draconian laws like the Public Safety Act.”
Moreover, the spokesperson declared, “Pakistan is keen to see the peace process move forward and lead towards an intra-Afghan dialogue.”
