Islamabad: In the wake of the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in a US drone attack, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that ‘Pakistan would not become part of any regional conflict.’
FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi Confirmed here on Monday and informed the National Assembly and the Senate about Pakistan not becoming the part of any conflict that would occur in the region.
Earlier, the Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor also confirmed here on Sunday that “Pakistan’s soil will not be used against any country.”
He further said that the “country will only play the role of a peacemaker in the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran, which has sent shockwaves across the globe.”
FM Qureshi said
FM Qureshi said in the national Assembly about all the struggles that Pakistan has gone through to bring peace in the region. He cleared that for now, Pakistan wont indulge in any kind of conflict but it would definitely try to bring peace between the regions.
“We will not be part of any conflict but are ready to make every effort for peace in the region,” he asserted.
