Islamabad: Pakistan announced on Thursday that it has offered India consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav.
Foreign Office spokesperson has mentioned that the offer was officially made on Wednesday.
The offer has made under the decision of the International Court of Justice last month.
An official of the External Affairs Ministry has stated that,
“We will maintain communication with Pakistan on this matter through diplomatic channels.”
The Foreign Office spokesman further declared that Pakistan is waiting for a reply from India to its offer.
It is patient to note that Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested on March 3, 2016, by the counter-intelligence forces from Balochistan.
On the charges of espionage, the military court had given him a death sentence on April 10, 2017. Moreover, he has also confessed that he was operating for India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) to conduct terrorist activities on the Pakistani soil.
