Islamabad: On Sunday, Pakistan has recorded 24 deaths in a single day, as informed by the authorities.
The total number of deaths occurring from the novel coronavirus has reached to 176 across the country. While the total positive coronavirus cases have surged to 8500 in the country.
Following are the number of confirmed cases from different sections of the country,
- Punjab has 3,822 cases
- Sindh has 2,537 cases
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 1,137 cases
- Balochistan has 432 cases
- Islamabad has 171 cases
- Gilgit-Baltistan has 263 cases
- Azad Kashmir has 49 cases
Meanwhile, the authorities have also confirmed that almost 1,868 patients have been completely recovered from the coronavirus.
Sindh has recorded total 56 deaths, Punjab has total 41 deaths, KPK has 60 deaths, Islamabad has recorded 2 deaths, Balochistan has 5 deaths while Gilgit Baltistan has recorded 3 deaths.

Earlier in the day, the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah claimed that coronavirus has taken eight lives in a single day in the province.
He prayed to God to save all of us from coronavirus. “May God have mercy on us and save our people from this novel virus.”
the CM said in a video message released from the CM House.
He said, “The first COVID-19 patient had died on March 19 and after that, the highest number of deaths of six patients was reported on April 11 and on Sunday it has claimed eight lives, which is quite saddening and painful.”
“The total death toll of a month from March 19 to April 19 has reached 56, which is 2.1 per cent of the total patients,” he further said.
