LAHORE – According to the El Dorado weather monitoring website, four of the fifteen hottest places worldwide on Monday (10/6/2019) were in Pakistan.
Padidan (southern Sindh province) and Sibi (Balochistan) were respectively ranked 4th and 5th on the list. Temperatures higher than 48 degrees Celsius (118 degrees Fahrenheit) were registered for both cities.
In 8th place was Rohri in Sindh’s Sukkur district. However, the Pakistani city of Jacobabad with a sweltering 51 degrees Celsius, was ranked in second place!
Other cities with temperatures ranging between 45 – 50 degrees Celsius include Lahore, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar and Larkana to mention some.
During 2018, the hottest day was experienced in Karachi with a sizzling 44 degrees Celsius.
