Pakistan’s coronavirus cases increased to 2,245


Media sources revealed that Pakistan’s confirmed coronavirus cases have increased to 2245 on Wednesday.

The total number of cases surged after new cases were reported from different sections of the country.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has confirmed a lot newer cases on Wednesday.

In a tweet, Buzdar said, “845 people have been tested positive for #COVID19 in Punjab. 416 positive cases are from DGK, Multan, Raiwind & Faisalabad’s quarantine facilities.”

“We understand the difficulties faced by our citizens and we are doing our best to bring life back to normal as soon as possible,” he added.

The Punjab chief minister has further informed that most of the cases are reported in Lahore.

“Districts: Lahore 178, Kasur 1, Nankana 13, RWP 51, Jhelum 28, Attock 1, Gujranwala 13, Gujrat 90, MBD 4, Hafizabad 5, Narowal 2, Sialkot 1, Sargodha 10, Mianwali 3, Khushab 1, Multan 2, Vehari 2, FSD 9, RYK 3, Bahawalnagar 3, Bahawalpur 1, Lodhran 2, Layyah 1 & DGK has 5 cases,” he explained.

Punjab remains the worst hit by the virus with 845 cases were reported lately.

Sindh has total 709 cases so far, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 276 cases, Gilgit-Baltistan with 184 cases, Balochistan 164 cases, Islamabad Capital Territory 58 cases and Azad Jammu and Kashmir with 9 cases.

Meanwhile the number of deaths that occurred across the country has surged to 30.

Out of 30 deaths, Punjab has reported 10 deaths, Sindh has reported 9 deaths, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 8 deaths.

Gilgit-Baltistan has reported 2 deaths, while Balochistan has reported one death.
