Islamabad: On Monday, the Pakistan’s religious scholars have assured Prime Minister Imran Khan of taking all the precautionary measures amid coronavirus outbreak in the country.
The ulema have welcomed PM Imran Khan’s decision of extending the countrywide lockdown.
According to a press statement from the premier’s office, the religious scholars have appreciated the government’s decision of opening mosques for prayers and Taraweeh during the Holy month of Ramzan.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan stated that the government has decided to observe ‘Youm-e-Tauba’ on the coming Friday in order to seek forgiveness from the Almighty amid this difficult time.

The meeting of the religious scholars was attended by Pir Aminul Hasanat Shah, Pir Shams-ul-Amin, Pir Naqib-ur-Rehman, Maulana Mohammad Hanif Jalandhari, Maulana Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, Hafiz Ghulam Mohammad Sialvi, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Sahibzada Pir Sultan Fayyaz Hussain, Mufti Maulana Syed Charagh Din Shah and Maulana Ziaullah Shah.
While the Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman, Mufti Taqi Usmani and Allama Shehenshah Hussain Naqvi have also attended the meeting via video link.
