The 40th Death Anniversary of Former PM Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to be marked today. People across the country are observing 40 years of PPP leader and founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Death Anniversary in Larkana.
Bhutto has served as the fourth president of Pakistan from 1971 to 1973. After that, he was elected as the ninth prime minister of Pakistan from 1973 to 1977. He was revered by his followers as Quaid-i-Awam for actually understanding the problems faced by the lower class in the country.
The necessary arrangements to observe Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s 40th Death Anniversary were made on Wednesday night. While speaking further to APP, the president of the PPP City Chapter, Baber Khan Jadoon said that they will observe Quran Khuwani at 4 pm and then will pray Namaz e Asr at 5:30 pm.
During the death ceremony, the achievements of Bhutto will be highlighted, his struggle for democracy will be taken under the spotlight and how he has sacrificed his life for the country and its people will be portrayed.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his message on the occasion of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto death anniversary said: “The role and contribution of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto after the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah is exemplary.”
He further stated that despite his death 40 years ago he (Bhutto) is alive in the hearts and minds of the people.
