Petrol prices may increase by Rs12 per litre for the month of April.
It has been reported that from the month of April, fuel prices may go up if the government will approve the new summary of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended an increase of Rs11.91 in petrol prices, Rs11.17 in high-speed diesel, Rs6.49 in light diesel, and Rs6.65 in kerosene oil.
This summary of the increase in prices by OGRA has been forwarded to the petroleum ministry. Prime Minister Imran Khan, however, will take the final decision in this regard.
If approved, the new price will be implemented from April 1, 2019.
