On Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan cleared that the previous governments’ corruption is the biggest challenge to his government. He has identified corruption as ‘the biggest challenge’ to governance and reforms.
Delivering a speech at the ‘Pakistan Breakfast Meet at Davos’, he shared Pakistan’s strategic vision, fighting corruption, poverty alleviation, and geopolitical balance.
He also discussed how Pakistan can make progress in these fields. However, the only challenge which is the government is facing right now is that of corruption.
Remove corruption from the country
He said, “It is like everyone wants to remove the tumor, but does not want the pain of surgery.” Asserting this, he makes sure that the nation’s involvement to remove corruption from the country is very necessary.
He further added that “Pakistan is about hope and I believe that, with its immense potential and determination, the nation will thrive.”
Discussing Pakistan’s human resources, he said that Allah Almighty has blessed this land with immense human resources. We are only unaware of them all. These human resources can help a lot in building a strong image of Pakistan in the eyes of the world.
Foreign investment will come
“Once Pakistan eases up and improves its business modalities and procedures, foreign investment will come from overseas nationals with great prospects for the country’s development,” he added.
He also said that “This is the cheapest official visit to Davos by a Prime Minister.”
