Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has declared here on Thursday that Pakistan is going through tough times. Amid this coronavirus crisis, the nation needs to understand that being united is the only solution to this problem.
He advised his nation to unite in order to fight against the coronavirus pandemic. He also gave the example of China where people behave sensibly and now the virus is almost gone.
He was Presiding over a meeting to review the situation pertaining to and preventive efforts against COVID-19. During the meeting, PM Imran Khan has mentioned,
“We will become a nation and tackle this challenge.”
He assured the nation that together we can stand against this virus. He also asserted that the situation in Pakistan is far better than that around the world.
The Pakistan premier said. “We are not only fighting corona [virus] but our war is against poverty and unemployment as well.”
“Every decision will be made keeping in mind the ground realities,” he added.
His special assistant to PM Imran Khan on health, Dr. Zafar Mirza also briefed PM Imran Khan about the latest developments and precautionary measures to combat the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the confirmed coronavirus cases have surged to 2360 across the country. The total number of deaths that happened in the country is 33.
The number of deaths surpassed 31 across the country. According to the national dashboard, several deaths were being reported in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
