Mirpur: Prime Minister Imran Khan has visited Mirpur hospital to meet the earthquake victims and to ensure that they have been given proper health facilities here on Monday.
It is pertinent to note that PM Imran Khan was attending the 74th UN General Assembly session in New York when the earthquake of almost 6.0 magnitude has jolted major parts of the country.
The earthquake resulted in the death of almost 40 people while a lot were shifted at the nearby hospitals.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also hosted a meeting. During the meeting, the matters regarding proper medical facilities being provided to the earthquake victims were discussed in detail.
The official page of PTI informed that “Prime Minister Khan expresses his grief over the loss of lives in AJK due to the earthquake earlier this week.”
Moreover, PM Imran Khan stated that,
“I got to know about the earthquake at UNGA and wanted to visit you immediately but alas my flight from the US got a bit delayed.”
The meeting was attended by the following leaders,

- Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi
- Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur
- The Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority
