LONDON – Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan will be present at the epic fight between British-Pakistani Amir ‘King’ Khan (Double World Champion) and India’s Neeraj Goyat on 12 July.
The fight will take place in Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports-Stadium located in Saudi Arabia.
PM Khan, former winning captain at the Cricket World Cup, will be accompanied by Zulfi Bukhari & Fawad Chaudry, Federal Ministers, with the WBC (World Boxing Council).
The boxers will be contenders for the Pearl Welterweight Championship. Meanwhile, Khan & Goyat made their media’s tour 3rd stop in London on 6 June. They came face to face at the Landmark Hotel in their showdown ‘Nations Connect.’
Press conferences were held in Karachi and Delhi too.The General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia officially endorsed the fight as part of the Vision 2030 Strategy.
During April 2016 the Vision 2030 Strategy was launched by the Kingdom with its goal to swiftly modernize the country. This resulted in the Kingdom rapidly becoming a significant hub hosting international sporting contests.
