The Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law, Captain (Retd) Safdar has been arrested by police officials late on Monday night.
The news was informed by the party leader Ata Tarar. He explained that Captain Safdar was on his way to Lahore from Bhera when police arrested him,
“Captain Safdar was taken into custody by police near Ravi Toll Plaza late Monday.”
It is pertinent to note that a case was filed against Captain on October 12, after he misbehaved with the police officials. The case was lodged under Section 124A for ‘badmouthing the state institutions.’
Former PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif
Earlier, the former PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was shifted to the Services Hospital, Lahore after his health deteriorated. He was shifted to the hospital under strict security cover which was offered by the police officials.
The announcement about Nawaz Sharif’s heath was made by his personal physician Dr. Adnan Malik. He took to his twitter handle and said that, “He’s visibly unwell and has multiple serious life-threatening health issues of acute nature. I would recommended immediate hospitalization for workup and treatment. The matter is of utmost urgency.”
