President Arif Alvi consulted Ulema on coronavirus


Islamabad: On Thursday, the President of Pakistan President Arif Alvi consulted Ulema on coronavirus and advised people to stay at home and avoid going to the public places.

Taking to his twitter handle, he revealed that he has consulted Ulema regarding the coronavirus. He also advised those who are suffering from cough or flu to stay at home and avoid contacting other persons on Jumma prayer to save the lives of fellow human beings.

He advised the Ulema to pray from home so that people may avoid public gatherings.

He wrote, “People who have fever cough shortness of breath or any flu symptom should avoid going to public gatherings. I have taken opinion from Ulema that for the sake of community well-being they can perform prayers at home & avoid Jumma congregation so as not to put other people at risk.”

It is pertinent to note that Pakistan’s health ministry has announced two positive cases of coronavirus in Pakistan on Wednesday.

The Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health, Dr. Zafar Mirza tweeted,

“I can confirm the first two cases of coronavirus in Pakistan. Both cases are being taken care of according to the clinical standard protocols and both of them are stable. There is no need to panic, things are under control.”
